1. HOUSE: Waxman unseats Dingell as Energy and Commerce chairman
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) is the new chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
Waxman ousted longtime Chairman John Dingell (D-Mich.) in a secret ballot vote of the entire House Democratic Caucus today.
With Waxman's victory, many expect the Beverly Hills Democrat to bring a liberal voice to the podium as he crafts energy and environmental legislation for the incoming Obama administration. Go to breaking news story #1
